Yesterday, my longtime friend Javi came home. I told him about project Rubbish and he quickly felt attracted by the idea. After a long session of exciting brainstorming, we came up with lots of new concepts. I jotted down all of them.
For example, the need to make the game more offense-oriented, so that stalling is avoided. Team Fortress 2 achieves this by favouring attackers over defenders in subtle ways, like lowering respawn times or enhancing critical shots chance.
I think my brain is going to explode soon... So many ideas there, I just need to write them all down and juggle with them :-D
I've uploaded some music for the game. It's still work in progress, I still have to polish some sounds and make actual tracks out of those.

Las canciones tienen un aire a las del RO.
ReplyDeleteso... is this project still alive?
ReplyDeleteYes, it is! :-D
ReplyDeleteI've been through a lot of things lately, and so have been the other two people who had joined the project.
I've been working on my own, and (hopefully) I will release a first iteration of the project soon, in 1 or 2 weeks. That is to say, in case I have enough time for it ^__^U
I'm working on the object-component design, the managers architecture, config and scene files... that sort of stuff. Once it's decent enough I'll let you know, both here and in Ogre forums.
BTW, I'm still looking for a concept artist/modeller. Any chance of you being interested to fill in?
